Physical Education

 

Our high-quality physical education curriculum inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physical activities. We have designed the curriculum that build on prior learning through a range of physical activities. We teach skills required for a range of sports, team sports rugby, football, hockey, tennis, netball, skittle ball, athletics, dance and gymnastics Our specialist sports coach teaches a full range of physical skills, games and team sports including:

  • Rugby

  • Skittleball
  • Athletics
  • Dance
  • Gymnastics
  • Swimming

Our curriculum provides opportunities for pupils to become physically confident in a way which supports their health, wellbeing and fitness. Opportunities to compete in sport and other activities build character and help to embed values such as fairness and respect.

Our pupils learn to:

  • develop competence to excel in a broad range of physical activities
  • be physically active for sustained periods of time
  • engage in competitive sports and activities
  • lead healthy, active lives.
