Parents and Families

Our pupils benefit from our positive and collaborative approach to working with parents, carers and families. We encourage good two-way communication between the school and families in order to ensure that the best interests of the pupils remain at the heart of everything we do.

There are many ways parents are invited to join in with school life and to be a part of learning at Sulivan. Whether it be joining the PTA, attending workshops, joining in with play, learning and STEM projects in class or enjoying our family events, everyone is welcome to be an active part of our community. We know that we are stronger and better by working together.

Learning Together Workshops

We regularly invite parents and families to join us in school for our Learning Together workshops. These always have a curriculum focus and give parents the opportunity to gain a better understanding of how we teach a subject or area of a subject. We also plan sessions for parents to join their children in the classroom and take part in a lesson together. This is always enjoyed by parents and children and gives the opportunity to see how children experience school life as well as take the role of teacher or teammate as they work alongside their parent on a specific project or task.
