Sulivan is a member of the Tri-Borough Music Hub. As a member school, we have an enhanced music curriculum and access to high quality music education opportunities.
Music plays an important role at Sulivan. It is a valued subject in its own right and it reaches across the curriculum in multiple ways. In addition, we know the important role music and singing play in wellbeing, health and academic development. Therefore, we have a specialist music teacher who teaches Nursery – Year 6 weekly music classes. Everyone has the chance to experience musical performance, learn an instrument, join one of our choirs and take part in a large number of events in and out of school.
In KS2 Children are invited to learn to play a musical instrument in small groups. Musicians and singers in the choirs participate in numerous performances and workshops throughout the year including at the Lyric Theatre and the Royal Albert Hall.
