The school was inspected by Ofsted in January 2019. The Ofsted inspectors spent two days in school observing lessons, meeting the children and staff and interviewing the senior management team and school governors. The inspectors looked at the children’s books, the progress they have made in each subject and the progress they have made over time. The report places a judgement on different areas in the school:
- Leadership and Management
- Behaviour and Safety of pupils
- Quality of teaching
- Achievement of pupils
- Early Years provision
The school has to meet certain criteria in each section to reach a grade. The grades are:
1 – outstanding, 2 – good, 3 – requires improvement and 4 – inadequate. The judgements are based on what the inspectors have observed during their visit.
The Ofsted team has judged Sulivan to be a ‘good’ school.
