This term children from Years 5 and 6 have been visiting a local secondary school on Tuesday afternoons to take part in some specialist woodwork lessons. We have been very impressed with their efforts!
On Friday 18th March children performed their own compositions to their parents in an informal concert with a live band. Mr Clarkson, our trumpet teacher, ran a series of composition workshops in the run up to the final performance. Keira (3/4W) wrote her own lyrics about friendship which she set to music, whilst Cody (3/4W) chose to conduct her own piece of improvised music. Thank to the very talented musicians who worked with our children.
Children who have had 100% attendance this year were invited to go to Kidzania. Well done to those children who have been in school every day.
Our Key Stage 1 Choir performed in a concert at Bute House School on Monday 7th March alongside 160 children. The children sang their hearts out and did Sulivan proud! Well done KS1 Choir for your wonderful singing.
80 children visited the Royal Festival Hall on 29th February to watch the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Thank you to our Year 6 prefects who joined us for the trip and helped the younger students spot their favourite instruments in the orchestra!
